Yall want to make a forum song?

Post by Logic8807 » Fri Feb 21, 2014 5:42 am

By this, I mean we come up with a concept and all contribute so form to it...whether a loop or entire instrument arrangement. Doesn't matter...just an idea I had.

I know a lot of people make a lot of awesome music. It'll be cool to see what we come up with.

Would make more sense to say Tempo: 125-145 - must be danceable - no use of commercial voicesample-packs

therefore you can make anything between this parameters and a timeline (2-4 weeks?)- call it ableton-producer-battle

make it more difficult and say: at leat there must be one 303acid-sound in it -- or leave this part away.

many options there are - but a bit structure make it easier to focus on a final goal -

all tracks can be sent to a specific soundcloud-account - therefore a modd have to create a voting thread

At first I thought you meant like theme song. Like college songs, Full House, national Anthem, Danny Boy kinda thing we can insult other forums with by singing loud n proud!!!!!

That does sound kind of fun; a frat song, more like a drunken pirate song comes to mind.
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum swinging your mug of mead back and forth like you're on a extremely rocking ship.

Then storm into the Sonar forums, give verbal wedgies and noogies and trash the place before moving onto the...........Fruity forum?

Probably should do it soon before the Bitwig crew embarasses us with their 'slick up-to-date-not-so-prone-to-crash' quatrain.

PDC, CPEREZ, Heinke brownian dither

When we launch our Session clips

Other DAWs shiver.

.....okay, I've never been great at writing lyrics. Plus I don't know where I can come up with 76 trombones on short notice.

I think we should invent a new genre, like DubHop or HipStep.

How about MoombahBop? Heavy MetalTon?

Well, as much as I'd love to tinker with FM8, I guess I prefer the native instruments over ...Native Instruments. Not necessarily because of sound and capability. I just really enjoy the funness of how they work with Live :P

We are the world, we are the Ableton??

Also to keep up with today’s dance music standards the song should start with 2 minutes featuring drums, followed by 5 minutes of a drumless breakdown with female vocals about love lost or found, and then pinch it off with 2 more minutes featuring drums.

we'll need to decide who is bringing the Auto-tune if there's any lyrics. you can't make a hit without some Auto-tune.
