how do i: play lower octaves? what's the shortcut keys?
during sound design, i want to reach the lower octaves. the 64 grid on note mode isn't low enough.
usually on a keyboard, it would be a simple OCTAVE (+) or OCTAVE (-)
what's the shortcut of that on the push?

OCTAVE UP and OCTAVE DOWN, on the middle right hand side of Push.

sorry, but I just made a lol in my mouth.

The actual problem is that this device needs a proper manual.
But yeh, this guy needs a double ristretto asap

er. that's not quite true, this stuff IS in the manual.
..but even without the manual I thought this was pretty intuitively found.Octave Up/Down — if an instrument track is selected, these buttons shift the pads up or down
by octave. If a Drum Rack is selected, these buttons shift the Drum Rack’s pad overview up or
down by 16 pads. In Session Mode, these buttons shift control of the Session View up or down
by eight scenes. These buttons will be unlit if no additional octaves are available.

haha agreed. I assume this person does not own Push yet though. If this is not the case, well, all hope is lost.

I think a lot of people on this forum have done it. Asked a question when the answer was obvious. I know I have.

True true, people in glass houses and all that. I shouldn't be mocking; I'm hardly the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Another thing that might be handy is setting the pitch bend on the touch pad to +/- 12 steps. You guys remember that slider thing on the left don't you? I never remember until my hand is resting on it and I can't figure out why everything is a half step out of tune. Anyway, you can groove on the same pads and then just jump an octave up or down. It really depends on what you're doing and how you like to perform or record. If you're switching octaves to just record bass lines this wouldn't be very useful but if you just wanted to grab a couple of low notes for a solo or something it works pretty well. Not to hijack but can the slider pitch stepping be modified to do that?
