I hear it's directed by Gareth Edwards who made Monsters.

There is hope, but I suspect that having luxuries like proper film cameras, a crew, a script, a cast, sets and a studio will only go to his head and it'll just be the usual big budget bollocks.

From that trailer: "The arrogance of man is thinking that nature is in our control... and not the other way round".

I believe Ken Watanabe just settled the global warming dispute.

Man fucks with nature, nature kicks man's arse. That's the premise right?

Yes, and in the end Heisenberg beats Godzilla with geoengineering.

There is no scientific dispute, there is just a bunch of people that don't want to pay the tab they are running, and some Mafia bosses, who tell 'em it's ok for them to run up even deeper into debt.

Why would a libertarian side with the Mafia bosses though, instead of walking the walk of taking responsibity for his own action. I thought that's what libertarianism was all about...
Whose actions now?

To say that there is no scientific dispute is a little disingenuous and makes you sound like a zealot. Even the most fanatical scientists recognise that the consensus is only of 97%.

I suppose your next move is going to be to tell me that climatologists have recently developed models "proving" that 97=100?

Wait, did I just kill this thread?

Tell you what, let's bring it back.

I hated the previous Godzilla movie, because Matthew Broderick is a lifeless lump of coal:

Seriously -> dead, black eyes. I would not trust my child with him.

But 10'000 BC was the best movie ever, so props to Emmerich for toying with us like that. I cannot wait to see what his next project is.

Meanwhile, I'm very excited about the new Godzilla movie, as gratuitously blowing shit up never gets old.

After watching the Godzilla trailer I see an online news report that Chicago is about to break it's record for most consecutive days below zero.

I just stepped outside. It's warm and sunny with a moderate breeze.

I think we all know what that means.

But until now you at least appeared to understand, what is real and what is not, before you put your slant on it.

But with this one, you just show yourself to be willing to accept lies, as long as they suite your life decisions.
This one goes from: Everyone for himself! (Libertarian)
To: I got mine. Fuck You!!! (Conservative)
This is not about politics (which we may not discuss), but about science. And I'm curious as to how you get off presenting yourself as a proponent of science whilst at the same time intentionally confusing 97 and 100. Just imagine if all scientists misrepresented the data as you do!
