how do i: save this sliced sample as a .wav file

Post by 132nonamemk\ » Thu Feb 27, 2014 10:11 am

what i did so far:
1. i used slice points i think it was called - the green arrows.
2. and then created to new midi track with drum rack (automatically sent the sliced parts to the drum pads)

what i want to do now:
I found some samples (that were assigned to the drum pads) that i like
I want to use these samples again on another project.

question:
what's the quickest way to save the sliced sample of that drum pad into my hard drive as a .wav?

Here's my workflow:

-create a midi clip with the note that trigger your sample
-create a new track, set it as 'resampling' mode as input
-arm that track and resample the midi clip

now you have the sample in the 'recorded' folder of the project so you can drag 'n drop that sample to a folder of your choice.
Important: all track volumes and master must be set to 0.0 db.

hope it helps

Hi,

i use the "crop-sample" feature in simpler/sampler (use it direct on the audiofile)

- pick one slice on the drumrack to select the part you whant/like

- in the simpler/sampler inst. right click (win user) into the audiofile, choose "crop sample"

- now drag and drop, the slice from the drumrack to the user library.

I use a dedicated folder for "slice snippets" in my user lib, when you drop the file you also get the drumrack + the cropped sample,to use it in other projects.

Have fun.
