Does this crash your Live?

Post by regretfullySaid » Wed Mar 05, 2014 7:06 am

I've been working diligently on this thing for quite some time, would be within a couple days of releasing it, and it's pretty important.

I need to know if any of you guys are able to have this open because I can now not open Live if this is in the template and once I add it to a midi track it will crash Live (it's a midi device).

The last thing I was working on was a JSUI button that I added. There were no problems until I tried to get Live's window as the main focus and then it froze for a sec and then crashed. I was still able to save the Max patch which I probably shouldn't have done.
After that, any attempt at recovery is a fail. Most of the content is in a bpatcher, which I'm pretty sure is embedded in the AMXD.
It crashes Live. I need to know if it crashes for you all too. Thanks.

Ah hell no, that's not cool. Seems like some ad is getting in the way, alright I'll make an alternate link.

I edited the patch to change the name of the jsui it was trying to load and now the patch loads up ok. you just need to sort out the jsui...

Ok, cool.

Weird thing is is I renamed the old patch and saved a new version with the old name but took out the jsui but it still crashed, but whatever, you got it. Guess I'll stick with the usual for now.

Thank you very much.

i think the issue may be what you are doing in the jsui... e.g. infinite recursion will cause max/live to crash

sorry, just read your last post again - missed that you'd taken the js out and it still crashed...

interesting... may be worth sending the crash report into the Abes to see if they can get anything from it
