Push not recognised 9.1.2

Post by rishi » Fri Apr 11, 2014 12:59 am

Cant work out why my Push is not recognised with 9.1.2

Works fine when going back to 9.1.1

Seems the new version has copied my 9.1.1 script and renamed it Push 9.1.1.

I have tried using the new Push script and the old one but no joy.

Any suggestions?

That's crazy. Staying put. But it's funny how others are fine with it.

Dumb thought, any chance changing the usb port would work?

I got it working by reinstalling Live. Just download from your account, delete the app, and re-install.

FWIW... I do recall working on a project and getting some message from Live about it doing an auto update whilst I was working. It caused some error, (cant remember exactly what now) but maybe that had something to do with Push not working???

Did either of you guys have that problem?

Push not recognized here either, 9.1.2 release version

Not a big deal for me, I'm usually working with the Beta version, which is 9.1.3 atm. Push works fine with Beta 9.1.2; 9.1.3...

Yep, same thing here. Push broken on 9.1.2 (64bit) auto Update.

Just a quick not to also say that I had installed Stray's Push Mod Scripts. It's possible that this broke the install.

Anyone else with a broken Push have this nativeKontrol Mod installed?

Hmm.... I was going say that Stray mod is working well for me on 9.1.2 but the audio dropout problem I experienced in 9.1.1 is back. And that was related to Clyphx or the community mapping :(

Nope I am talking about the community mappings. The devices.py file. I think what your URL points to is a different script?

ok, for me it's the nativeKontrol Push Mod that is breaking Push currently in 9.1.2. Haven't tried PXT-Live or Plus yet.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Things were changed in Live 9.1.2 that affect many scripts... nativeKONTROL already re-wrote and updated all scripts for 9.1.2. But apparently there was still an issue on Ableton side which caused them to release a new beta (9.1.3) like the very next day that alters the script api a little more. This new beta is not expected to be in beta mode for a long time so nativeKONTROL decided not to release the completed beta for version for 9.1.2 and wait for Abes to complete the script modifications they started and will release the new nativeKONTROL scripts when things are finalized. (which like I said, is expected to be very soon)

I am not a nativeKONTROL spokesman or anything, I am just an active member on that forum, so none of this is official and is only my interpretation of the discussions that I've read! With that said, I believe nativeKONTROL has been letting SOME people (I'm guessing performance/Studio people who have already done projects in 9.1.2 and really need the update) use the 9.1.2 beta script. But it's sounding like he is requesting others wait for the finished Live 9.1.3 and matching scripts to release officially.
