Have you tried to poke yourself in the eye? I find that can often work.

You've got to bear in mind that people are not going to take you seriously when you ask questions such as:

You can, but synthetic/sampled instruments have a notorious reputation for sounding like shit.

Well guitars are "old fashioned" instruments. They're analogue. You plug them into a mixer (or audio interface if you're using a DAW) and record them.

Yes you can make music like that with Live. You simply use Live as a virtual multitrack and record what's being played (on real instruments by musicians).

Uh yeah. All day long. I do this thing called "practicing" on a "real" instrument too. :o

You posted a video of Cinderella on an electronic music software forum. Therefore the obvious conclusion is that you're trolling.

If you're not then yes, software emulation of plucked strings is going to be pretty difficult to get to sound like 80s hair metal guitars.

I personally don't use guitars on anything I do because I don't touch the filthy, overrated, pop-mentality-sustaining things. I use six-string basses and Chapman Stick for more unique treble sounds. Very little strumming going on.

I did however recently buy a lap steel, which is pretty fun.

What instrument do you play?

what you have to understand is that when you ask a stupid question you get a stupid answer

now why don't you set to work with your auto-wanker and come back in 5 years?

Even though the trolling hasn't go e over my head, I'd like to ask, hasn't anyone tried using a Tension -> Amp combo just with their stock presets? You might be surprised.

Though I can't really recall how real it sounds, but that doesn't mean it wont't sound good or interesting.
I actually the like half-synthetic half-real sound of Tension.
