XLR, because most of the gear in my studio use that now. Otherwise I wouldn't care.
Re: TRS vs. XLR.

Re: TRS vs. XLR.
TRS because I can make the cables myself in custom lengths.

Re: TRS vs. XLR.
TRS is awesome for patchbays, EXCEPT for patching mics with phantom power on. the passing of the tip over the ring and sleeve is bad in this area.

Re: TRS vs. XLR.
XLR, cause it looks Bad-Ass and the girls go crazy. I usually purposely unplug a few of my XLR cables right before a session and throw on a sleeveless shirt, then when they get there I ask one or two of the chics to "be a dear and plug these in for me babe". They see the 3-pronged tips and get all confused and shit, that's when I make my move and gently hold their hand and help them guide it in. By that time they're usually a mess and sweaty wet! If there's also guys at the session, this is the time I usually send them to the store for me.... I tell them "Get me Dos Equis cause it's about to be Double XX in here...." Chics start giggling and shit, then I show em' why I wore the sleeveless!
