Re: iPad
Whoa I just noticed that most of the Apple AU plugins now have GUIs. Nice!
Is this new in Mavericks I wonder?

Apple's AU suite that comes in every Mac. They'll be under "Apple" in the plugin list in Logic.
You never knew about those? They're actually not too shabby and even better now that most of them have better interfaces.

Re: iPad
Oh those. I've never used those. It would be doing a great disservice to the countless plug-ins I've purchased that also don't get used.
Re: iPad
I got the iMaschine app yesterday because they just did some update with new features…whatever those are. It looks shiny. Must have. Even with the update there are some serious missing features. No pattern editor. No pattern sequencer. All you can do is set a loop length on one of 4 tracks and tap/play shit in. That’s it. Just because it’s a “sketch pad for ideas” doesn’t mean that’s all it should be, especially with NI’s resources.
Re: iPad
I read the reviews first then decided to pass. Even with the new Maschine Studio getting my attention lately, just couldn't pay for an app missing so many basic things.

Re: iPad
Yeah that app sucks. I deleted it again for the 3rd time. No 16 levels either.. Impc pro looks sweet though. Also beat maker 3 is on the horizon I hear!

Good or bad, it’s surreal Dr. Dre is now an Apple executive spending ample time in his office just a few miles from me. Imagine his conversations with Ive. Imagine the worker bees passing him in the hall. Imagine all the worker bees too young to know his significance to music.
I look forward to the first keynote peppered with “nigga”.
How’s that for revolutionizing executive structure at a tech company.

Re: iPad
Apple’s keynote at the WWDC is going to be live streamed next week. I’m going to be if they don’t toss Dre on stage.
And this business move wouldn't have happened on Jobs' watch. He was clearly prepping an office for Bono.

Hm, Dre over bono for sure. Kind of makes me think:
Tim to himself:'Apple is losing it's cool rep, is there someone we can team with to fix that?'
Ironically, Dre is more rock'n'roll than Bono.
There's no way he can't be in the keynote.
I can only hope as part of the introduction there will be a small bio for Dre's background, in which they'll show snippets of videos like Fuck Tha Police & Straight Outta Compton on the screen during the voiceover.
Even better, if one of the Engadget or Gizmodo guys yells 'fuck tha police!'.
