A simple wish for Live...
greetings programmers and live users...
i have a very simple request to the people at live, and a question for users. i am OBESESSED with reverse delay effects, yet to my amazement, Live does not offer reverse delay! how could this be? i do think reverse delay is a simple effect that could make my life so much easier and, well, psychadelic! so, dear friends at live, could we make this happen? and to live users...is there a way to make this happen? a trick? let me know! GREAT thanks, j.

Hmm, try DFX Transverb or Scrubby:
AU and VST available for OS X and 9 users. (And Windows VSTs for the trolls.)
Those fellows make some fun plugs, and the two aforementioned will play buffers of up to 2-3 seconds of a sample in reverse.
Share and enjoy!

You may need to be logged in with an administrator-level to access /Library
Otherwise, in your home directory, you have your very own Library folder.
Both:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
and
/Users/username/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
get scanned by Live and other VST effects hosts. Regardless of the type of account you have, you can access either or both folders.
Also, be sure that you grabbed the OS X version of the two effects:
-- http://dfx.spacebar.org/p/transverb-carbon.sit
The OS 9 versions will not work within OS X.
This works for me, so beyond that, I don't know what would be the cause of the problem. Maybe the trolls can step in and suggest buying a Windows machine!
