Just upgrade to Live 5 and there are no fx/instrument preset

I just upgraded to Live 5 and there are now no insutrment or fx presets. Can I donwload these? Where do I put them so they appear in live?

I have copied my old presets folder into the library which is now located at My Documents/Ableton/Library/.

WIthin that folder is the following folders within folder within folder


my documents/ableton/library/library/librayr/library/library/library/...... it goes on forever!


The other thing is that none of the new fx such as "autopan" have presets...

I wonder if this has something to do with compatibility between L4 and L5. When you open a L4 set in L5 you can open it in either version until you save it in L5. Soon as you save it in L5, there's no going back to L4 for that set.

Live's effects have a "compatibility mode" now or something like that in the transition from 4 to 5. I can't remember the exact terminology. I think they added new programming to the effects, so the old presets aren't totally compatible anymore with L5. So I don't think they've made new effect presets for L5 yet. You can probably still use them, but your sets will have to update themselves when saved I think. (Someone please tell me if I'm wrong on this. I might be "right church wrong pew.")

There are only impulse and simpler patches so far in there it seems though.
