I have latest Battery and samples loaded in battery sounds totally same in Live simpler. They phase cancel. Obviously if you used any of Battery effects or playing modes (akai sampler emulation) sound will be different but then this is option.

The main thing is Battery has more tools for shaping your sound. I often load Battery in a Drum Rack to get the best of both worlds.

Battery uses fast envelopes. But just playing the sample back in simpler makes no difference. A 909 uses fast envelope curves for example. To get that punchy drums. I think ableton dont use that because of the CPU. I guess.

Funny thing I've been asking myself lately, why does all Native Instrument stuff sound so much better than everything else?

You guys are all wrong actually. Battery is true analog and simpler is digital. You guys need to read up on your shit. Maschine is 100 percent analog as well. Ableton is digitized and only 14 bit, this is why it sounds thin. I run my final mixes through Acid and it makes my stuff sound super pro. Anymore questions?

Yeah. Why do you spell your name with a 'D' on the forum?
