Long time Maschine user here (since release) and long term Live user (Live since version 2 and this year Push).

The combination of Push and Maschine Studio together is seductively awesome.

In particular, I love arming the MIDI track hosting Maschine in Live 9 with Push in Notes mode, and then using Push's Isomorphic In-Key mode to performa dn record melodic parts into Maschine 2's sequencer (sound targetted being whatever the last pad was I touched on Maschine).

I have both devices rocking my coffee table in front of my "client couch" at the rear of the studio using big 5m USB cables. I've even found a nice little X-stand laptop stand which angles Push precisely at the same angle as Maschine so the two devices feel like operating a single surface.

Maschine Studio almost completely delivers the hardware in a box experience thanks to its awesome displays. I need to train my muscle memory to stop reaching out to touch the screen.

The Step Sequencer is so much fun - eclipses anything I've experienced on high-end dedicated workstation synths.

This is such a great combination for collabs on the same system - just passing the units around between friends. I also have an Arturia Spark and three Mackie Control Universals so potentially I could have a "collaborative band" all working on the same laptop in addition to other players working on my wall of hardware synths.

Looking forward to many sessions over beers this forthcoming summer taking advantage of the city views from my new studio loft/warehouse space.
; )
Now I've got to say this sounds like a lot of fun to me!
It's less about one being better than the other and all about using each of them for their strengths...

I'm missing something.

That takes me to hardware registration, which I can't do anything with. My account shows nowhere to get get the demo of 2.0

Step automation has been improved for Maschine 2.0 so that it can affect non-consecutive steps. So now you can hold a step(s) and tweak the parameter you want and it only affects the step(s) you are holding. The held steps do not have to be continuous.

I am having lots of trouble with Maschine 2.0.5 in Live 8 when using as VST. I would like to know the opposite. Is Maschine 2 stable in Live 9?
Yesterday Maschine 2 crashed all the time and the first notes of patterns within Maschine played with varying velocities. Still unuseable here. I hope in Live 9 some of these issues vanish.

What does it look like in Live 9 and Maschine 2 as VST?

Anyone who can enlighten me on this.

I ordered the maschine studio to work with ableton as we'll I have an iPad with touchable as app.
I think this is the ideal combo.
Touchable is better but yes smaller then the push, way more options to control and work ableton.
And the maschine studio yea what can I say more, it's a great looking machine what works well with ableton as we'll with maschine 2.

Touchable is $24 and yes a money drainer like maschine equals (push and ableton suite and touchable)

Any one tried this combo already???

I really like to hear your opinion on this.

Ps. If push comes with an updated version then for sure I will buy as well. Like big screens, preferable stand alone.

Yes off coarse it's touchable, was a bit late at night when I wrote the msg.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Still like to hear any thoughts about it.
