BTW, this was one of the hardest mixes to do. Horns, vocals, guitars, drums, bass, all incredibly dynamic. I used a shit ton of Live's compressors and EQs!
Latest song with New Orleans musicians
Re: Latest song with New Orleans musicians
very nice job, I am sucker for a horn section. If you ever had the time or inspiration, I'd love to hear a down tempo/trip hop version of this song with a slower groove, drums (ala portisead).

That's not a bad idea! Want to try a remix?
Re: Latest song with New Orleans musicians
I just started 2 new jobs and grad school, I don't have the time unfortunately at the moment, but if you or nobody else brings it, I'd possibly be up for a go at it sometime in the future. This is just my own subjective opinion, you have a great organic, human sounding track, that the drums are not giving enough breath, room, and space for the atmosphere of the vocals and such.nebulae wrote:That's not a bad idea!
