Korg Gadget can now export to Ableton Live
Korg Gadget v 1.0.3 now exports to Ableton Live projects directly! It works really well, screenshots of the Gadget project and the Live project after import:

I think I just puked in my mouth.
In a good way. Like nervous excitement.
This is really great news.
Will they ever have audio clips?

Just when I thought I don't want another app...
Also if the iPad pro comes next I will probably get it too.

Re: Korg Gadget can now export to Ableton Live
Does anyone know if the .als files it spits out are readable in Live 8, or only 9?
Re: Korg Gadget can now export to Ableton Live
The site is code naming this update Santa Clara and I see another codename Milpitas. Weird. These are cities in the South Bay of CA’s Bay Area/Silicon Valley, but not exactly known outside the Bay Area. I’d expect something more along the lines of Cupertino (Apple) and Mountain View (Google). I wonder what the connection is for Korg.

Also, I already have the app but for new users it's $40 (ish) and the new sound modules are $10 each.

It's audio only though? No export of MIDI clips? Thats' what I really want. Create drum patterns etc >export to Live to use it's instruments.

I’m pretty sure the Maschine app does that with the Maschine desktop software.
And maybe the Cubasis app with Cubase.

Matt Quinn, no midi export, but Live's audio to midi function becomes valuable in the scenario you describe. It's good at converting sine waves for synths, and I've heard that it's pretty good at analyzing drum patterns and spitting out good matching midi files.

All gadget parameters can now be freely controlled via MIDI
Is this a new thing in general? I thought with MIDI controllers all you can do is play keys or pads. You can map faders, buttons, and knobs too?
