Sometimes I want to try out another DAW, and it would be possible if they would all be accessible through a monthly fee. Most likely this would lead to more/faster improvements of the software.

If Live became a subscription only product I would probably stay on the current version "forever", then switch to something else.

+1. This is why I still have Photoshop and Premiere Pro CS6 and haven't (won't) go to CC. The versions I have do all that I need (and more). The functionality in Live 9 Suite far outstrips my meager talents as it is; if they went monthly subscription I'd stick with what I have and focus on learning how to get the most out of it, which could take many years.

I think the creative cloud thing is the worst idea ever. Especially as the only option. Now if both were offered (purchase or rent) then I'd be okay with it but switching over to subscription only would drive me away just like it did with Adobe products. Creative cloud = boycott from me...
