Hi Guys,
Sorry but can't find my answer anywhere on the forum or manual or google.....
The problem is i "added a folder" into places. when i click on this is see all folders in that folder.
And when i click a specific folders it shows me all the content.
BUT.... When i go to Places on my Push it doesn't show me the folder that i have added...
Can anyone help me to figure this out? is it because the files in the folder are .wav and Push can't read this?? (i already tried to change a file to .aif but push still doesn't see the entire folder.
greetz.
Push doesn't recognize my folders in places
Re: Push doesn't recognize my folders in places
First, Ableton needs to scan the folder it can take some time depending on the size of the folder.
Second, how it shows the content depends on how you organize them inside.
basically you have to follow Live folder structure (Drums\kind of drum) so it rganizes it by type.

But still i don't get it... i did what the site said. for drums..
i made a folder Drum Hits, then a folder Kick and i have put in that folders some kick.aif
when i go to the drums (in categories) and then drum hits/kick i see my kick.aif file..
But when i do this on the Push i only see the .adg files..........
what am i doing wrong?

Re: Push doesn't recognize my folders in places
Wondering what kind of content you have in your Places folder because I had the same question as you, and then came across the last paragraph of section 27.2 in the Ableton Live manual. It says,
"Folders are only visible on Push if they contain items that can be loaded at any particular time. For example, the Samples label (as well as any of your own folders in Places that only contain samples) won’t be visible unless you’re browsing from a single pad in a Drum Rack (see 27.3.1)."
So in other words, sounds like if Places contains only samples then you're not going to see them in Browse.
Hope that helps.
