alright. finally, one of my favourites is working in 9.0.4 again, maybe it was just me.
but it's working., sweet. although, 128 is massive in the configure panel. still fun!

"PluginAutoPopulateThreshold"
Auto-populates the plugin parameter list if a plugin has a number of less or equal than X parameters.
Default = 32
Min = 1
Max = 128
"-1" will always populate the list with max. 128 parameters, regardless how many parameters the plugin has (= similar to Live 7 behaviour)

Example: -_PluginAutoPopulateThreshold=32
100000greenCanaries are either violin0rGreen

No that's done inside Ableton with the defaults settings. Look through the manual and there's a tutorial on how to set it up properly.

AutoAdjustMacroMappingRange is not that what is needed.

let us say i have param with a range 0 to 127 and current value is 64.

after i press "map to"

when i have this option disabled the range is0 to 127 which is fine while the value is 0! so the value is broken.

when this option is on
the range is 64 to 127 which is not fine, and the value is 64 which is fine.

what shoud be is

the range is 0 to 127. and the value stays 64 so it is not shifted and the sound is not altered.

Hey guys,

A quick tip for Windows 7 users. After naming the file "Options.txt" it actually became "Options.txt.txt" in the background, although it didn't show this on the filename, so although I had followed it, it wasn't working.
Changing it to "Options" only, made it work.

Cheers

Anyone do any checks recently on the 9.x releases? May be some new goodies?

Hello,

I was wondering if there any updates on the list? Or if anyone has tried these:

ForceDirectDraw << Windows Only.
ForceGDI << Windows Only.

I'm looking into Max for Live and Vizzable. Specs on my setup is as follows:
Toshiba Satellite L750-A070
Windows 7, Home Premium 64 bit SP1
CPU Intel Core i7 @2.2GHz
RAM 6.0 GB DDR3 @665MHz
Graphics - 1024MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M
Hard Drive - 488GB SATA

Looking to improve laggy video performance. (Aside from getting hardware upgrades like SSDs)

Also, has anyone tried these for better MIDI Clock syncing aside from -MidiClockSlave=x ?
(as described here, https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/sync-no-good/ )
MidiEventThinning
MidiJitterLogging
MidiEditorDefaultSnapMode
MidiRemoteScriptsFolder
NoMidiFromReWire
NoMidiEventFiltering
NoMidiJitterCorrection
NoMidiMonitorLatencyCompensation
NoMidiServer

Experiencing MIDI Clock sync dropouts after around 30 mins of jamming with bandmates.

Basically MIDI Clock sync is daisy chained through audio interfaces.

Without going into too much detail.
Master is a Mac sending MIDI Clock sync through NI Komplete Audio 6 via MIDI cable to first slave - a PC (mine) taking MIDI Clock into Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 - and then sending MIDI Clock out to another Mac via MIDI cable to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4.

When the PC experiences the droupout, the 2nd Mac loses MIDI sync too, logically.
The MIDI I/O on the USB audio interfaces are dedicated to MIDI Clock sync, and no other MIDI information is being sent through them.

I am aware of PC - MAC incompatibilities and issues. But I DO HOPE, that there may be areas of improvement in this options.txt.

Thank you.
