I am vinyl junkie, and am ecstatic that Live now works more like vinyl
I am having no erratic clip behavior, but I am having fun mixing tracks on Live. Up until this version I would not play longer tracks in Live.
Maybe thats why I just cant grasp this thing....I'm no DJ, I'm doing multitrack recording. I really like live because of it's 'liveness'...i compose as i play/record. I REALLY liked live 4, and was happy to send Ableton 50 bucks for the upgrade. There are some very cool things in 5, but the dot is forcing me back to version 4. Fighitng with the dot disrupts my workflow blows my vibe and ends my sessions in frustration.
I would happily pay ANOTHER 50 bucks if Ableton would provide a way for me to disable the dot...just a checkbox in the settings to turn it off, or even a registry key that I could set. I'm really bummed about having to go back to version 4.
I don't want to take the dot away from the folks that get use out of it...I think it's great that you guys got a toy you like so much....but the damn thing has rendered live 5 unusable for me.
