The Logic update is nice. Live hasn't been opened since I downloaded. Push is sitting in the corner. Finally, one of the DAWs besides FL puts a paintbrush in their piano roll. Combined with the Logic Remote app and a midi controller, I may not come back to Live for a little while.
iMac, MacBook Pro, Live Suite, Reason, Logic Pro, Melodyne, FL Studio, iConnect Audio4+, Little Martin, ukelele, Greco gtrs, pedalboard, amps, mics .

Well, another namm has come and gone with very little to offer me personally. I wanted an RMX update probably more than anything else. Though on another forum they chimed in with a cryptic "keep hope alive" statement, I'm not holding my breath.
Live is better at making your own crazy beats....but I thirst for more. Oh well.
And not many new guitars or basses worth mentioning. For people that can afford 5000usd + guitars I'm sure it was heaven, and the rich are being propelled further and further up, but the 1000-1500 range offers very little these days. And then there is the Carvin Debacle and the whole keisel thing. That was one of the guitar companies that I liked
And all the subscriptions......ffs, not for software!
Yep, another disappointing year for me.......ymmv.

Arturia released an extended version of the Beatstep. <--looks really good.
Launchpad Pro
The Odyssey!
Also MainStage gets Autosampler functionality. Definitely a no brainer purchase at this point.

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. With your install of clyphx comes a Usersettings.txt. In this file you write at the correct position the midi signal your controller sends followed by the action list.Willyum wrote: Are you saying any controller can be programmed with dedicated ClyphX functions as permanent buttons?
Then you just need to select that controller as an input to the clyphx script in Lives preferences. Done.
The clyphx manual explains this very well.

I would have thought you'd be rocking clyphx for a long time already.

Just a dumb question: What is Mainstage used for?! Would someone who has Live as a performance tool still profit from having it?Machinesworking wrote: Also MainStage gets Autosampler functionality. Definitely a no brainer purchase at this point.

That KMI K-Mix looks pretty interesting to me, would be great for a live set up.
