An M4L device that assigns MIDI to scale POST plugin?
An M4L device that assigns MIDI to scale POST plugin?
Say I have an FM8 arp that I'm randomizing, is there a MIDI device that goes after the plugin to make sure the notes are in scale? Thanks.

By definition it wouldn't be a MIDI device it were coming after the instrument plugin in the device chain.
Only audio comes after an instrument so any MIDI scaling has to come before the instrument.

Again, it's not going to be a MIDI solution, so what you're basically asking for is Autotune. Let us know if you find someone who has coded something like that in M4L!*
*I have no doubt it's possible but it would be a pretty major undertaking I would think.

Molekular has pitch quantization is called. It just might do the trick. I just started making patches on it so I'm not 100% sure it'll work for your need but it's my best guess.

It's going to be a ball-ache to get audio back in scale.
Do you absolutely need to do your randomization inside FM8?
If you were to choose to do it with incoming notes, you would be making your life much, much easier.

I guess it's not a huge deal. I just found that Maschine VST can decipher incoming MIDI from its arp, I figured Live could do something similar.re:dream wrote:It's going to be a ball-ache to get audio back in scale.
