Hey all, having some issues with ezDrummer in Ableton Live 9 Standard.
I am trying to record midi data on four separate tracks (one for kick, snare, toms and hihats) so I can EQ and mix them independently from another.
However when I add multiple EZ Drummer tracks, Only 2 will play at the same time and I get no output from the snare or tom tracks?
I know I need to route the input/outputs for this but I cant figure out how to do it in ableton
Any suggestions on how to get this working
ezdrummer multiple channels
Re: ezdrummer multiple channels
Ok, I'll bite.
First, there is absolutely no need to record different parts on different channels. Midi is just a communication method, it has nothing to do with sound.
Second, to have alternative outputs in live, you set up additional audio channels. It's a little tedious for the first time but the good news is you can group all of that together and then save that group to a location of your choice so that it's all done the next time
One other thing to keep in mind is that you'll need to go into EZdrummer (1 or 2 ) and set the outputs to multichannel. You can do this by right clicking.
