Teenage Engineering PO Series

Has anyone ordered/purchased these? Pocket calculator sized synths; applications which mirror the Volca series. The reviews I've read say the sound is great, and the workflow/features are fun and solid. I guess these were also made in collaboration with fashion label Cheap Monday. At $60 a piece, I'm tempted to go ahead and cop the whole set.

I have a friend who owns all three, just like his OP-1 he uses them all day, but he doesn't actually make any music.. he just tinkers...

I see them more as toys than an instrument, I want to get one of these for my nephew in fact haha.

recieved my PO-12 last week.

Impressive little thing and the Parameter Locks are really great to get some cool variations on the patterns.

I have synced it from the Volca-Beats Sync-Out which is midi synced to live.

Allready sampled a few really cool loops from the PO-12 and the Bassdrum is really kicking some ass i have to say =)

How do the sounds compare to the Volca beats?

Are you supposed to break off the display hole?

I think I couldn’t bring myself to do it on purpose. And then again it looks incredibly fragile.

Fuck.

I believe it is supposed to be broken off if you buy the silicone casing for it. Perhaps it serves a practical function being suspended on the wall or somewhere when not in use...

A fragile looking gem indeed

The Sonic State reviews on them were really good, might be worth a watch if you're thinking about it.
