Audio into ableton - fading

Post by OLE310 » Sat Apr 11, 2015 1:34 pm

Im working on a mix, and when i drop music into ableton it just fades away. I know how i can fix this w/ ADSR, but now i have to hold down the button. The music plays, but i have to hold down the button, is this is annoying and dont look that cool. So, do anyone know how i can fix this, do i have to loop it or something. I know that i can use the attack and release but i have tried this. So please help, if you dont understand, just drop a song into the drumrack and play it, and you have to hold the button down.

Thanks :?:

You fix it by changing the release value

Assuming you WANT to use the drumrack, cotdagoo is right.

But the release of Sampler or Simpler isn't endless but maxes out at 60 seconds, and at the assigned release time the volume is down to zero, so 'fading' starts at the actual point you release the button, it only takes longer.

Why would I want to play a whole song through a drumrack? Drums = one shots.

From your first post (When i drop audio into ableton - drumracks) you're circling around the same problem: You're using drumracks for something they're not designed for.

Explore the capability of playing clips in Session View with your Launchpad Mini instead.
