I think he wasn't really asking for money, but rather making fun of them. Well either that or he's 12 years old.

On the other hand, him thinking to make fun of a Sony exec in this way is somehow sooo rebel cool, makes him at max. a 16 year old

I assumed they were with Sony so it makes sense they'd ask for some help and see if it can tie into Chappie somehow. I'd love to see them make fun of Pitbull in a video.

Was listening to a podcast talking about the movie Chappie. Ninja and Yolandi were mentioned with “So I did some research and I guess they are a comedy duo or something. I guess their humor is a South African thing”. I was .

I’m not a kid but I know who Die Antwoord is and they’ve been around for years. The hosts of the podcast are my age. Not to mention they’ve been on Letterman (and probably other shows) and the cover of Rolling Stone, not exactly a deep underground “comedy duo”.

Yeah I remember seeing the trailer when we went to see American Sniper and I was excited to see them in it and during the silence after it played I was looking and listening to see anyone else acknowledge them but most people seemed to be stuck on the name saying "Chappie"

I heard they kind of sucked in it, but I’m not surprised. Also heard the movie sucked. Also not surprised. Heard it took a lot of already done sci-fi clichés and did them worse.
