enveloppe sending midi cc

Hi all,

Imagine I have a volume envelope on a dummy track and I want that envelope to send midi cc.
Is that possible?

You mean a clip envelope or an automation (arrangement page) envelope? The latter can't normally send midi cc but there are max4live devices that give this option. A clip envelope should be able to send midi cc's.

Yeah I meant an automation enveloppe in arrangement view.

Any clue how it can be done in M4L would be much appreciated.

Have you tried to midi assign that device to that volume parameter? In theory, if you assign cc7 ch3 to the volume fader of Live's channel, you'll both be able to control that slider using your midi device, but also, anytime that slider moves it'll send out to midi cc7 ch3 back to that device. So whenever you automate the control, it'll also send that to the device.

Except while playing unconsciously with the patch's Ctrl number, I have sent midi data all over my 168RC Korg mixer.
It's a bloody in the BUs routing inside.

Now there should be no output when changing the Ctrl-Number.
