Mouse on Mars - Ideology
Arovane - Lillies
FSOL - LifeForms & DeadCities
TheOrb - Adventures Beyond The Ultra World
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Vols I & II
SoulIISoul - ClubClassicsVolume1
PetShopBoys - Introspective & Behaviour
NewOrder - too many albus worth mentioning IMHO :D
Wendy Carlos - Switched on Bach
William Orbit - Strange Cargo - "Hinterland"
Depeche Mode - Black Celebration , Music For the Masses , Violator , SOFAD
Olive - Trickle (ExtraVirgin - is a mega crap release though)
Portishead - Dummy
Everything But the Girl - Walking Wounded
Eno - Music for Airports
Bowie/Eno - Low
Bowie - Scary Monsters
Tangerine Dream - Phaedra
Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust
Leftfield - Leftism
Sabres of Paradise - Sabresonic & HauntedDanceHall
Richard H Kirk - The Number of Magic (amongst others of his)
Thomas Dolby - The Golden Age of the Wireless
Art of Noise - Whose Afraid of the Art of Noise
Human League - Dare
KLF - The White Room & The Blue Room
Heaven 17 - Penthouse and Pavement
David Sylvian - Gone Too Earth , Secrets of the Beehive , DeadBees on a Cake (not exaclty electronica but my favourite solo artists by a long shot)
- he uses lots of electronics to good effect though compositionally.
Devo - I'll just put the "greatest hits" comp here as most of their stuff IMHO holds up damn well.
Pretty much any material under the moniker Ryhtmn is Rythmn
808State - pretty much the first 4 albums
Orbital - Brown Album , Insides & Snivilization
Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman & Second Toughest in the Infants
John Foxx - Metamatix
Anything by - Cabaret Voltaire.
I still listen to stuff by Bauhaus , DalisCar , Magazine , Propoganda and Front 242 for example.
Loads of individual release by Baby Ford , Gat Decore , Bassheads , Carter , May , Lil' Louis , Marshal Jefferson , Frankie Knuckles , Bizzare Inc etc etc etc etc .....
And I whole heap I missed or I'd be here forever.
For example one of my favourite CD's and I've have it for ages is POSITIVA - "The Ambient Collection" (quite possibly the best ambient comp CD I own) with artists like The Orb , Aphex Twin , Visions of Shiva , Rythmn is Ryhtmn , Polygon Window etc etc etc.
My aren't the wings of butterflies beautiful and do they not make wonderful perturbations.....
