Apc40 faders default to 0dB

Post by mrvinyl » Thu May 28, 2015 9:04 pm

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered. I would like my apc40 mk1 to always default to 0dB on faders rather than +6dB is this possible to set this permantly rather than having to configure for each project ?

Cheers

There's a few ways to do this. First is just to put a utility on each track set to -6dB, this will offset that last 6dB gain from the APC fader effectively doing the same thing as stopping at 0dB. Or, you can manually map the faders to each track, and in the mapping editor set the max limit for the fader range to 0dB directly. Of course this means banking between more than 8 faders might be an issue, but if you only have 8 tracks or less, works great.
