I use Protools 11 a lot, but I use Ableton just as much. I think it would be a good idea if Ableton would make individual mono tracks so I know when I'm editing a mono track verses a stereo track. I know there is a mono plug-in but I still think it would be efficient if I had the option to "Create New Mono Midi Track" or "Create New Mono Audio Track" similar to how Cmd+T is make new audio track and Shift+Cmd+T is make new midi track.
It would be more of an organizational thing but I mix a lot too and I don't want to always be wondering if my track is mono or stereo.
Also I think Ableton should update the routing procedure in Ableton and create busses to choose from instead of routing channels.

Re: MAKE MONO AND STEREO AUDIO and MIDI TRACKS FOR ABLETON
What is gained by using a buss vs. a return track?

Actually, every track in Ableton is stereo, even if only a single track is displayed or you use Utility to set the track to mono. It would be a nice feature to create mono tracks at all.
