So it looks like the answer is a big fat NO basically.
Is it me or is Ableton not really innovating that much? Are they basically bogged down with bug fixes and dont have the resources to add more features? Do daws typically not update that fast, 2 years seems like a long time between a major release.

4 years between 8 and 9, so 2 years are not that much.

^ me too. constantly adding features lowers stability and leads to bloatware. and costs everyone more money.
