How to find out the MIDI CC data parameters of a controller?

I have a drum pad and I'd like to find out what MIDI CC data each pad sends out, is there a way to do this in Live?

On Mac I use this: http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/

Also in m4L there's a MIDI monitor device. http://roberthenke.com/technology/m4l.html

Or, enter MIDI mapping mode in Live, click any unused parameter, and hit/press the drum pad.
The incoming MIDI will show up over the parameter you chose.
If you have Live's browser open while in MIDI mapping mode, you can see a bigger list if what is currently being assigned. ie the incoming MIDI signals.

MIDI Monitor is a great app too, if you're on mac. I use it all the time.
