Cutting Problem Frequencies

Post by SouthSideSamurai » Sat Sep 12, 2015 5:11 pm

Hey everyone, I have a synth that has 2 problem frequencies right next to each other. What is the best way to remove both without taking too much of the sound out. That seems to happen when I try to take both out with separate bands.

Thanks!

Only reduce the frequencies by a few dB instead of with massive cuts?

Whats the problem with the frequencies? Resonance? Think you answered the question yourself don't cut too much of either frequency. How many db you removing? You don't need to surgically remove the whole frequency just reduce them.
