Checked out a couple of the demo videos of that controller. Completely unnecessary for 99% of electronic “musician” composers but they will still buy it anyway because of the name (and associated cost) and it has pretty lights.

I also noticed the dated and beat up state of his workspace compared to my region where they change furniture and walls every 6 months to inspire and promote the synergy of tens of thousands of people working on nothing of value that will most likely fail.

How so? How many electronica producers do you think need to drop $1,500 on a controller that can play a sampled steel guitar with more expression? Or even have the musician skills to take full advantage.

Well if that were the only thing this thing is capable of, you'd have a point.

It's not, and you don't.

I mean come on 24x8 pads with LED colored lights, Velocity, AT and Midi CC PER pad? In a sleek and transportable package?! With open source software for making any idea you can think of possible? (or the people we pay way too little for doing it for us).

Any electronic musician (or "musician" as you put it) not getting a boner looking at those specs is nothing but a poseur!

Doesn't mean it's worth the money of course. For 500 I would start saving up today, for 750 I would keep it in mind. For 1500 it's not going to happen unless people start paying for music again

It will also be the new crowning jewel of millionaire EDM performer fakery.

well 32 times 8 would be nicer for step sequencing, sure.

But if Ableton is really looking to make Push 2 for Arrangement; I would hope that they would make such a capable grid the center of it!

But for 500 max. that much is clear!
