Push 2 coming soon?
Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Anyone know if the touch strip can be used as a modwheel as well?
This one thing will make me buy or not buy it today .

Re: Push 2 coming soon?
I haven't tested it myself but it would be beyond stupid from Ableton to backpedal on a long requested feature like this.
Push 2 does have the same modulation strip and the same select and shift button. I don't see why it wouldn't.

But you never know...
Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Yes, pressing Select+Strip still turns it into a modwheel.
Here's a before and after of Push 2 with the PSU and without:

Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Does the color of the root note and the parameter "interface" change color to reflect the color of the clip you're working on?

Would you say that was legible? I can't read the screen from here but appreciate that it's a photo in low light etc...
I'm a bit torn on this. I've only had my Push since June (the special offer price tempted me finally) and I love it but it feels too soon to replace. That and I'm concerned about the no power readability as my favoured option is lying on the couch with the Push and my laptop on the table. NEEDING to use a power supply would spoil that.
Also, I wonder if the 30% rebate will be ongoing or if it's a short term offer...
Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Actually I remember reading that it is valid until May 2016 IIRC.Gylen wrote: Also, I wonder if the 30% rebate will be ongoing or if it's a short term offer...
Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Here's a size comparison, with P1 on the left and P2 on the right:
And here they are side by side, again with P1 on the left, P2 on the right.
The pads on P2 are almost the same size it looks like to me, though they aren't as tall as the ones on P1. Maybe half the height.
In terms of legible, I personally could not use the P2 without the PSU most likely unless it was in a totally pitch black room. It really is very dim, especially the buttons. Sorry about the bad lighting in all the pics, it's a bit dark outside today.

Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Silly question. But if the pads now reflect the color of the clip/track. What happens if your track is actually bright green or bright red for instance? Doesn't this make the playing/recording notes or the playhead in Drum mode unreadable?
