browsing 3rd party vst/au with push 2

Post by scheffkoch » Thu Nov 05, 2015 9:43 am

...so...is it confirmed that you can browse presets as long as you use the au version of a plugin?...can you browse every preset that is available or just a selection?...

Well it's not working for me. You can now see and load up the plug in from Push (so long as you use the AU version) but Push does not list its presets and you cannot therefore browse or load them. If I am wrong, someone please correct me, I would be delighted :)

You can load the plugin from Push with the VST format as well. No preset browsing though, as you say.

Yes it does seem to say on the Ableton site that you can now browse 3rd party presets from Push via 'hotswap'. But I can't really work out how to do this. Perhaps it means your own presets.

For browsing presets you need to first load the plug in, AU or VST.

Once loaded if the plug in exposes it's presets to the DAW they can be browsed, not all plug ins do this so it may not work with all. And well it only works for the "main bank" not all the presets.
