Building a PC what sound card should I get?

Post by iSpiritus » Sun Nov 15, 2015 3:43 am

Hi, I'm currently building a new pc and I may have to get a new sound card for my build. I don't know much about soundcards, what should I be looking for to handle everything I need for electronic music?

What is your budget? There are many options depending on your needs. I use Focusrite and it does just fine, and is quite affordable. If your budget allows for more there are many new options on the market which are more flexible and connect a variety of devices (IOS, PC, etc). Arturia has a pretty awesome one coming out.

Well what do you need?

You can't just ask the doctor to cure you. You need to state your symptoms first :-)

It depends on what you want to record and how many inputs you need access to simultaneously.
