I got Live 9.5 crashes regularly with Komplete Kontrol plug in and had big overloads when opening projects created with prior versions.

Windows 7 Ultimate, i5, 64bits, 8Gig Ram

18 11 2015 Update

Everything seems to work now fine after installing the midi script as recommended by NI in their Knowledge Base.
CPU also much less touchy for some reason...

Just as a mention Falcon 1.0.1 does NOT crash v9.5, it only causes the beta 9.5.1b1 to crash.

Anyone else notice this? I have submitted crash to UVI and will submit to Ableton.

Yeah seems to be plugin related, i mixed down a couple of demos with the beta for the metering and had very few crashes, was just using stems with native devices, MJUC compressor and The Drop but when i try to open a project with everything live the beta crashes.

I'm also having this problem with Live 9.5 32 bit and sent a crash report. On 13" Mac Book Pro with SSD and El Capitan (just upgraded) - crashes when I try to open old sets, I am guessing it is my custom drum racks. Very frustrating!

Please report any bugs or crashes to support@Ableton.com, just a reminder that Ableton doesn't officially do tech support through the forums.

and there is it again!

nearly evertime they improve - it also may mean: FORGET ABOUT YOUR TRACKS YOU DID LAST YEAR

they will cause LIVE to crash or sound seriously different.

the only way i see is to deliver a downwardscompatible engine saved within the projects

I'm having numerous crashes - about 10 a day. Every single time on quit. I'm on Yosemite.

Getting this weird crash where when I recover the program, some presets/automation for some plugins are completely reset, which as you can appreciate, is really really bad news...

Well... i rarely post anything here. but unfortunately i have to join this thread, as 9.5 is unusable for me. random crashes, just saving a new made set, and reopening it, pressing start -> crash.
Just doesn't make any sense at all, the system i am using now is nearly clean, windows 10/64 bit. got Reason on it and that's it.
No vst-plugins. 2 ssd drives.
i see huge cpu spikes that i never had before.

i did sent crash file to support, but frankly i have no time for this, or to be pseudo beta tester.

Going to see if i can downgrade if i have the previous installer still around.
Have been Ableton user/supporter for a very long time now.
But i am considering to put Ableton Live on the shelf, until some future version when issues have been sorted out.

Please Ableton work on stability/continuity/integration , instead of adding random features and glamour that doesn't make this product reliable as it was long time ago.

Thanks

Yes, crashes like crazy opening different plugins (GUI). I'm a Live user since Live 5 and this is the first version I would call unusable :(

Windows 7 64 bit here

Although "compatibility" trick i mentioned at the first page improved my Live 9.5 stability and experience i still have rare random crashes.

Really weird.

It does remind me back then when we had live 9 then 9,1 then 9.2. With each release situation improved a bit. But now with 9.5 it jumped back again like we're on 9.0 again...

Not good, really not good. I see plenty of people have issues. How this release passed beta stage? Just how?

Maybe closed beta. But I am on the public beta and with the latest builds have reported the crashes. Not worth giving up on them...but clearly frustrating for daily users like myself. Seems they are taking their time on releasing the next next 9.5.x version which is refreshing because it is about cleaning the code and making it right, because the latest features are awesome and worth the wait.
