I have a monophonic audio recording.
a. Flat Tempo: Midi notes are spot on
b. Changing tempo of timeline: Midi notes are way off, as if it converted MIDI to another tempo, how do I fix this?
How do I enter exactly 87.35 BPM for bars 17-32 in the automation lane?
a. Bars 1-16 is 85.00 BPM
b. Bars 17-32 is 87.35 BPM
c. Bars 33-48 is 85.00 BPM
Automation lane I move the tempo and it moves between 87.10, 87.25, 87.40 how do I make it Exactly 87.35?!??!

What is the actual tempo of the recording? Is this set up as a master tempo clip? This is in arrangement? Is your objective to follow the actual tempo in the original or is it to have those numbers applied no matter what?miekwave wrote:I have a monophonic audio recording.

Re: Convert to MELODY ERROR
The recording is (losely) 85.00 BPM. Master Tempo Wrapping 85PM only lines up bars 1-16, after thats its a mess. I split the master recording clip into 3 parts as described above. I just need to make a certain section an EXACT tempo so Beat 1 is exactly lined up back on bar 33. To make this happen I need to nudge an exact tempo value.Stromkraft wrote:

I can change bpm using Master track in Arrange view, but whenever I try to nudge the tempo up or down it does not let me hit the exact tempo I need to make bar 33 exactly 33:1:1.
How do you enter an exact value in automation lane????

Probably easiest with a MIDI controller. Have you tried this device?:miekwave wrote: How do you enter an exact value in automation lane????
TEMPO - transition to any bpm (Max For Live device).
If you have a not fixed tempo in the recording you have generally two choices, either make Live follow the inherent tempo with using it as the tempo master, or warp section by section to a reference tempo. Warping will obviously change the experience of the recording.
