CPU=200% frozen audio engine but PC CPU =2%

CPU=200% frozen audio engine but PC CPU =2%

I dont get why this is happening, it';s like the audio engine freezes...Live doesnt crash, all ihave to do is turn the engine off and on, but my PC cpu is at 2% and its not crashing or anything

Anyone? had this happen before?

maybe an audio driver issue?

What Audio Interface are you using and on which OS?

Are you sure you using the latest drivers? Have you set it to ASIO or using WDM?

Also, do you have ASIO4All installed? As that one wrecked havoc on my system With my Scarlett, but I'm on Windows 10 currently.

I had this happen when BATTERY POWER MODE was set to 'low power mode' make sure you have 'High Performance' enabled to ensure your CPU is operating at its peak during Ableton use.

Use HW monitor to diagnose what is causing CPU peaks.

thanks, except it is happening whether im using live or not....so im starting to think it gors something to with directx and windows 10 theres some new version of direct x on windows 10, and im nmo 8.1

So the moment you do not use your Scarlett interface (turned off), everything is fine and rock solid?

Do you have an onboard soundcard on your motherboard? Have you tried using that and is causing that the same issues too?

Also, did you try to uninstall the Scarlett drivers and reinstall them?

i updated to windows 10 and seems like it fixed the problem....thanks for the help :D
