Need some advice with resampling from my drum rack

Post by overflow1 » Wed Feb 10, 2016 12:04 am

So I've been experiencing a weird thing where live act really sluggish with a big drum rack.

I had a drum rack with 200+ sounds (I've got some nested racks with multiple samples) in it with effects and, even in a fresh set with only that drum rack and nothing else, LIve was just bogged down. The thing I noticed is the automation list is huge!

So I'm trying to remove some effects and just render out some sounds

for example I've got a kick drum with an eq8 on it. I record it to audio and cmd+J to slice it and drop it in the drum rack. same simpler setting same MIDI value triggering it, I even adjusted the volume so that each are peaking at exact -12.00.

.......and they sound different. is there a way to get my NewKick to sound like the OG one being processed? I would really have thought they'd sound exactly the same?

I'm on a Mac Pro with 12 gigs of ram Mac OS 10.9 LIve 9.1.6 64 bit

I think I solved It with Live's Fade option on the audio clip

Just one on those days...........
