Post by Wakeon » Sat Feb 13, 2016 12:40 am

Hey guys!
I'm back to ask you if you know some tools in Ableton or some plugins/vst to make chords easily (a kind of tool like in FL Studio, which permit to make directly chords) ?
Thanks a lot :)!!

How about the chord plugin? It comes with Ableton.

Do you already have Ableton or are you just considering switching from FL or something?

Make a frozen claw shape with your thumb and two fingers and start slapping left and right on the white and black part of your midi controller if it has one.

Yeah, if you get Cthulhu, you can probably be set and not have to worry about chord issues.

I suggest you to learn theory about chords, not using programs that are generating these things automatically. Just learn about minor and major chords at least and it's done. Don't use these tools, do it yourself.

Yeah. Some people need to be rewarded by having songs finished before they choose to dig deeper.

If using chord generation gets them that much closer to having some tracks they can enjoy or share, then it is a positive step.

That is after all what the tools are meant for.

And if he should choose to get more in depth in understanding chords, there add already resources for when he has more experience.

Imagine your parents expecting you to spell words before allowing you to use them :P

Bad analogy. Mixing up spoken and written language.
