RIP - Prince

Post by Angstrom » Thu Apr 21, 2016 5:22 pm

well, another one gone.
Prince

He was an incredible guitarist. I was never a fan of his music in the 80's so for years I thought the videos of him playing guitar live were faked somehow, but nope ... he really was one of those dudes with a freaky light touch who make guitars do magic. Also, he played every other instrument damn well too. Another legend down.

He was probably one of the best bassists I've heard who didn't identify as a "bassist."

It was like Ziggy had stepped out of the song and become a real person. What a talented, creative, restless soul. A sad day

Prince on drums!!!! Must see performance. Today's "concerts" are karaoke Pro tools backing nonsense, not live performances. This is a live performance. So Sad.

I'm devastated.

Prince has been my main musical influence over all these years.I have no words. This is surreal.

I guess i can consider myself lucky to have witnessed not only numerous concerts but also quite a few of his famous aftershow concerts. Also i was lucky to meet some members of his band and of his spinoff band The Time.

I could tell a handfull of stories.

But right now i'm devastated, just devastated.
