Cloud based web storage and file sharing for audio

Post by jamief » Sat May 07, 2016 10:33 am

Hello :D ,

So simply put I'm looking for cloud based web storage and file sharing for audio.
Purposes are:
for security ( laptop failure, fire, theft )
    Creative share point for collaborators

Looking to pay for this. Currently have all my files stored on crash plan which is kinda ok but looking for something where at least two of us in remote locations can use and share the same account. Upto 20 TB storage.

Please advise on your knowledge in this area :-)

FYI virtually, they are back-up and not trustworthy storage. It can be deleted anytime they want and no compensate.

I agree although I have had Microsoft Skydrive for a long time and haven't lost any files.

Cloud storage is great for sharing high resolution audio such as Stems to send to studios or sending tracks to mastering engineers but I wouldn't put a lot of faith in using them to archive files.

You are probably better off investing in an inexpensive external hard drive (or even some more reliable expensive ones) and backing up data yourself.
