I just finished a prototype for a progressivish house song I'm working on. I've only been producing for about a year so I am still very new to this. I have yet to share something that I've worked on other than to very close friends so this will be eye opening I'm sure. This is my first attempt at any kind of house music and I would very much appreciate some feedback on this. It is not mastered but has been mixed to the best of my ability. Feel free to rip it to shreds if you must, I am eager to learn. Anything that you feel was well done let me know that too so I can learn from that as well.

Feedback on house track
Re: Feedback on house track
I'm even more noob than you, but I'll chip in anyway. To me it sounds like you have all the right parts in place, and you've made a track that's enjoyable and easy to follow. That's great! It's a bit short, and I think there could be a down-tempo middle part before the final built up. And then more repetitions. Maybe consider a short part with bass, drums and not so much more? The mastering is lacking a bit, to say the least ( ), which disturbs my ears a lot. I need more bass to really get the track. Perhaps you could work on the mastering a bit and let us hear a new version?
Great work!

Re: Feedback on house track
Your musical skills are quite developed already. At least for beeing in the business for one year only. Did you have any experience beforehand? Anyway, there still are some harmonic errors, but this doesn't matter for the time beeing. What the track really lacks is effective side chaining on the different synths to make space for the kick, sound seperation with some EQ'ing your snare in the buildup is not loud enough or you are using a sample, that is nnot punchy enough to cut through.
