Post by brightonalex » Fri Sep 09, 2005 3:11 pm

Hi,

I very recently bought a Roland TB 303.
I don't have a question actually, I just wanted to tell you. 8)

Thanks
Alex

Congrats!

Had you been using 303 plugins before? In your opinion, do you think any of them nailed the real thing?

Because I have audiorealism and I think sounds awesome! But I am also curious what the real 303 is like in comparision since I've never had a real one in my hands.

After playing a bit with that free Rebirth I am really interested in the real thing, I mean with physical knobs. Are there any reissues worth anything and how much the original may cost ?

An arm and a leg...

700 pounds or more.

It's quite silly, really.

i've had one for years... it's an absolute bitch to program because of stuck buttons... and the sync in drops out all the time.... a pain in the arse really.

can't quite bring myself to sell it... but also can't quite justify spending money to give it the TLC it needs.

YEAH EXCEPT... i heard Props made a 512MB cd download, because they couldnt be fucked removing the cd protection scheme...so yeah instead of a 16MB app which it should be, you have to have an obscure CD lock still????##@

im downloading a 256.8mb disc image file that you can mount on the desktop when u want to use it...still a compromise but better than putting a cd in everytime. they did mention on their site that they were a small company and didnt want to invest any more time on rebirth...so they really must have meant it even removing the protection is too much effort to them
