Here's a quick tip. Maybe next time, REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE PICTURE BEFORE YOU UPLOAD IT!

Yeah, that does help for sure. I use http://postimage.org as they let you select a lower size when you upload picture.

Or someone at Ableton could take about 2 minutes to add 2 lines of css to the boards stylesheet.

Code: Select all

img {
    max-width: 100%;
    height: auto;
}
...is all it would take, but yeah, it's been like this for like 14 years now.

Note the most important item; the small purple table in front of the desk. That's where drinks go so no liquids will be spilled over my gear...

Ugh - I learned that the hard way. Several beers deep, knocked a full beer over my MacBook Pro. That was an expensive lesson. I do the same thing as you now - a completely separate surface for my beverages!

A little make over, the Volcas (Beats, Bass, Keys) and Monotribe are now on a DJ Stand to save some desktop space. Also added an ultrawide display and an iLoud for daily listening (not in the picture) and an iRig Key. The display is working perfectly for me with a very effective visual area, especially for Ableton and Cubase since I need more horizontal space instead of vertical.

On the right side are my favorite pair of a Nord Modular G1 and Lead 2x, a Korg MS-20m and a Venom. On the left side is the original Korg Wavedrum and the boxed Wavedrum Mini on the right. Just added a Korg Wavedrum Global Edition (not in the picture).

I'm using an Asus Gladius mouse with a Logitech G440 Hard mouse pad, K120 Keyboard and F310 gamepad. So far I'm very comfortable with the setup for music, working and gaming.

Shame that most of my hardware are in the time capsule at my house, but the Nord pair is going to the studio.

I'm a big fan of doing whatever it takes to feel inspired. Coloured lights is one way. I wonder if it's possible to establish a permanent small light show in my apartment?

Thanks. But maybe I arrived too late, cos the link leads to 404 message.

Regarding simple setups, I like this one. I might even buy that little keyboard. Of course, a better solution is to have a setup where you can slide the keyboard out from under the desk.
