easiest way to switch virtual instruments in a live setting?

anyone have any tips for easily switching between virtual instruments in a live context? dont want to look at the screen, an easy button press that could cue up or cycle through instruments would be the most ideal in my mind

any tips or ideas on this matter?

In live you can use an instrument rack, and map a controller to the chain. But the best is to use Mainstage ( only 30$) and use program changes to change sounds or AU instrument

interesting, does mainstage run within ableton? i'm planning on using touchable

are there examples of mapping a controller to a chain in ableton online youtube etc?

As for Mainstage, it runs outside Live, but if you make a clip sending program changes to Mainstage, the VST changes will be automatic
