Legato long samples in Sampler with selection macro?

Post by yoyodyne » Tue Dec 27, 2016 6:30 am

So I know how to do this with clips in session view, but I wanted to build it into a rack:

I have a bunch of long, looping samples of background atmospheres loaded into a Sampler. The samples are various lengths and need to loop freely and continuously. I have the samples evenly distributed over the selector macro knob range. So far so good. But what's the trick to enable switching between samples on the fly without having to retrigger the Sampler? If my clip is an endless loop clip or a really really long held note to enable the off-grid sample looping, moving the selector knob kills the playing sample but does not play the newly selected sample. There is no legato option in Sampler.

Anybody have a work-around to achieve this functionality within a rack?
