Moving posts to different areas of the forum when the post is on topic according to the rules makes the poster and the reader want to abandon the forum.
The music and production area of the forum is full of post that are just asking for help. Why are they not deleted or moved when the person asking for help could contact support? The user help area has been closed. The rules are starting to seem a little inconsistent and created on a whim.
Its fun to play king once in a while, but when the king becomes the ultimate authority and the people have little freedom the people move on.
Perhaps Ableton do want people to move on from this forum. Wouldn't it be easier just to close the forum than to have users get annoyed with the companies ever changing posting policies?
Could the mods be more gentle with the moderation whip?

Not sure exactly what you're referring to?
There's a bit of overlap in some of the forums and occassionally posts are moved to a different forum when we feel it would get more attention in a different location. No one is playing king and we definitely aren't trying to annoy users, just the opposite. The forums here are provided for users to get help from their peers and share ideas with the community in general. It's not intended to be official Ableton tech support, but if another user can help with a question someone has, there's no reason they shouldn't post it here looking for answers too.
The Community Guidelines are posted here for those people not familiar with the forum:

Well, often one comes with a solution that would eventually helps someone else later.Emanresu0891 wrote: Why are they not deleted or moved when the person asking for help could contact support?
Lot of posts happening here every day, we try to keep the place as organised as possible, but as Erik said the's some overlap of course.
I think the search feature is waaayy underused, but we can't do a lot about that.
Usually the "could be in various places" moved topics are the one that are very computer-oriented, that imho better belong in the Lounge than the main Music forum.
Other than that, it's pretty obvious where things should be.
Btw, this topic sits perfectly in The Lounge
