connection kit / arduino - crashy!

Post by swishniak » Mon May 22, 2017 8:58 am

hi all

im using an arduino leonardo hooked up to a 8 x relay board and the arduino patch of the connection kit. i have the outputs mapped to a macro and those midi mapped to notes.

its crashing almost anytime i select something in the "arduino" object.

any tips? standard firmata installed.. corresponding baud rates ... on live 9.7.. downloading 9.7.2 in hopes...

ok - dont everyone repsond at once 8)

in addition to it being crashy there seems to be a lot dropouts / noise in the signal so that every 5th or so signal doesnt make it out..

any help would be appreciated

You might want to send a crash/-status report to support...otherwise it's shot in the dark.

Thanks.

for anyone else in this situation; going back to using maxuino + firmata was much more stable

Indeed, i never had problems with Maxuino.
Plus, (unless i'm wrong) i think that the connection kit does not take advantage of the big ones in the family, like the Arduino Mega.
MacBook Pro 13" Retina i7 2.8 GHz OS 10.13, L10.0.1, M4L.
MacStudio M1Max 32Go OS 12.3.1
